150+ pages and 12 hours clinicals a week for 8 weeks is not what I had originally expected from a class that is about mothers and their babies. Even the book is about the same size of my medical/surgical book, which is about 2000 pages. In addition to this material, I have to do a careplan on both the mother and baby on the second day of clinical when I truly do not know much about the course itself. Besides the 5 hour lectures, I hope I can pull off an A in this class, since there are only 320 points in the class (3 100-point tests).
Hopefully, this class will be easier than neuropsychiatric nursing, which was absolute garbage. Most, if not all, of the tests were nothing but subjective questions. Plus, my nursing instructor was like in her own world the whole time, but still knew what she was talking about when it came to this subject.
For future reference, expect a post at least once every other week.
