MangaMeeya is a japanese program targeted towards manga readers on the computer. Due to its complexity and long list of features, japanese kids became confused with the program and the company had to shut it down due to lack of profits.
On the other hand, it is most likely superior to masses’ favorite image viewer, CDisplay. This is probably due to its extensive features and ability to read image archives within archives.
However, there were some problems when I tried the english version of this program from Silv’s blog. Frankly, the scroll function was completely broken (can’t scroll with mouse or keyboard). Also, the program kept viewing images from the bottom to top when absolutely nobody reads a book or comic that way. Therefore, I did some experimenting with the jap and english version of the MMCE and fixed them. On another note, do not ask me how I solved them for I am not some hardcore programmer who likes to complicate matters by discussing them.
Although I am a big fan of CDisplay (+5 yrs) for its simplicity and ease of reading, I am currently moving over to MangaMeeya CE simply because of its convenience and cleaner interface along with boosted performance. Also, it is the most versatile and robust image viewer that I have seen to date.
Features:
-New: Supports imbracted archives (archives within archives)
