[IOSYS] – 東方真華神祭 (Toho Makashinsai)

This album was released at Reitasai 5, consisting a few good songs (mostly the ones that accommodate their flash videos). The album art and jacket itself are quite pleasing with the paper cutouts and the fireworks that emulate summer weather (more like 4th of July).

This is probably one of the best flash videos from this album.

If one has ever watched even a sliver of Death Note, one might mistaken Reisen U Inaba as Raito (Light) during some of the instances of headbanging. Although it is a bit of a remix of Overdrive, it is somewhat more tolerable to listen to.

Scarlet Weather Rhapsody

The most anticipated Scarlet Weather Rhapsody (SWR) has been released at Reitasai 5. There are currently 15 playable characters, along with a recent update patch. For those who are unfamiliar with SWR, it is a fighting sidescroller game with the pace of Melty Blood, but with projectiles and cutesy female humans and demons (youkai).

In comparison to the demo, the game characters seem to have a speed boost as well as more colorful attacks. Although the sprites and colored portraits were mostly rehashed from its prequel (Immaterial and MIssing Power), the menus have been revamped with new character portraits and interfaces. Also, more activation cards (~10-15cards) have been added to each character’s deck, adding innumerable hours to re-playability.

PC vs Mac

This is possibly the best vid I have seen supporting the PC. However, I am not sure why almost every person in the touhou community likes to rip on Hong Meiling. She is freaking awesome for such a minor role, besides the fact that she kind of sucked in Touhou Suimusou. Anyway, China is cool.

Just when I thought there were enough parodies of Haruhi, I see a Touhou version and everything becomes happy again.
